Applicants must successfully complete 16 academic units in a college-preparatory (CP) curriculum while in high school. Rider considers the strength and number of college-preparatory courses taken when considering students for admission and scholarships. Minimum requirements include:

*Required, however Trigonometry, Statistics, PreCalculus, and Calculus may be accepted in place of Algebra II only

Rider also offers test optional admission along with college credit to students based on International Baccalaureate (IB) coursework and the results of the College Board Advanced Placement (AP) examinations.

*Pre-Calculus preferred as a fourth year of math, however higher level math courses may be considered as long as they are above the required Algebra I, II, and Geometry. 

**Above is a sample of suggested courses in the sciences. All science coursework can be considered upon review of the application. 

Applicants applying with a chosen major in the School of Science, Technology, and Mathematics BELOW the above stated criteria, will be evaluated based on the academic materials provided. If the student is academically admissible to Rider, they will be admitted into the General Science Program for their freshman year and then will work with the College of Arts & Sciences Dean's Office on a science curriculum to set them up for success to be placed into their intended major for their sophomore year.
