Jay Stern
Filmmaker and theater director Jay Stern has directed feature films, shorts, and stage productions across the U.S. and Europe. His feature Say My Name (2019) screened internationally and was released in theaters nationwide. At Rider, Stern brings his creative expertise and international experience directly into the classroom.
Joan Grossman
Joan Grossman is an award-winning media artist whose projects have been shown in more than 25 countries. She is also the author of Blackout: On Memory and Catastrophe and produces independent work for public interest groups. Grossman shares her global perspective and professional insights with Rider students.
Alan McIntyre Smith
Alan McIntyre Smith is a New York-based cinematographer whose films, including A Vigilante and White Rabbit, have earned critical acclaim. He has also shot music videos, television, and commercial campaigns for major brands. Smith now teaches Rider students the art and craft of cinematography.
Jon Baskin
Jon Baskin is a video editor whose work has been featured on networks including ABC, CBS, NBC, and HBO. His editing has contributed to Emmy and Promax Award–winning projects, and his documentaries have screened at festivals such as Tribeca and Maryland. Baskin brings his professional experience in post-production directly to Rider students.
Stefan Hueneke
Stefan Hueneke is a post-production engineer and freelance colorist whose credits include Tiger King, Light & Magic, and Fire Island. He has also color graded commercial campaigns for ESPN, Kate Spade, and Kia. At Rider, Hueneke helps students develop advanced skills in editing and finishing for film and television.
Kyle Crichton
Kyle Crichton is an editor and filmmaker whose projects have premiered at Sundance, Tribeca, and Toronto International Film Festival. He has led post-production on both documentary and narrative films and has also worked with nonprofit organizations such as Surfrider and the Ally Coalition. Crichton brings his diverse experience in independent film to Rider students.
Michael Goldburg
Michael Goldburg is an award-winning writer and director whose films have screened at Oscar-qualifying festivals and on platforms like Amazon Prime and Funny or Die. His celebrated feature screenplay Sure-Fire has won multiple awards and industry recognition. At Rider, Goldburg teaches screenwriting and guides students in bringing their stories to life.
