The Uncommon Individual Foundation
The Uncommon Individual Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that studies, develops and applies the art and science of mentoring. The mission of the foundation is to select, mentor, and accelerate the best high-impact entrepreneurs in Philadelphia and the surrounding region, in order to foster corporate expansion, facilitate job creation, and catalyze local economic growth.
In addition to providing internship opportunities with Foundation sponsored entrepreneurs, UIF in collaboration with Rider’s Center of Entrepreneurial Studies is offering students and alumni FREE:
- On-site mentoring (at the Center for Entrepreneurial Studies)
- Virtual mentoring with industry and subject-matter leaders (in business, engineering, and computing)
- Incubation and acceleration space through the Foundation’s MentorLab in Devon, Pa.

Rutgers Law School Entrepreneurship Clinic
The Rutgers Law School Entrepreneurship Clinic is a new clinic headquartered at Rutgers Law School in Newark, NJ that seeks to provide startup entrepreneurs and early stage small business founders with select legal services and support (complimentary / pro-bono at this time). This Clinic also provides law students with hands-on transactional law experience in representing for-profit and social entrepreneurs. It will also develop projects in partnership with the Rutgers Business School and the Rutgers School for Public Affairs and Administration, on which law students can collaborate with MBA and/or MPA students. This clinic can be a resource for complimentary legal services for startups that don't have sufficient financial capital or otherwise can't afford startup legal services but need help to launch and grow their ventures.
