Princeton-based ballet school will preview its 2012-13 season in Âé¶¹Íø's Bart Luedeke Center Theater.
American Repertory Ballet previews its 2012-2013 season with performances in Âé¶¹Íøâ€™s Bart Luedeke Center Theater Friday, September 21, at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, September 22, at 2 p.m.
The program will feature Douglas Martin's elegantly expressive Ephemeral Possessions, excerpts from Trinette Singleton's athletic Cappriccios and Mary Barton's sensual Straight Up with a Twist and more. The performances are part of the Ballet’s residency at Âé¶¹Íø, which includes master classes for students enrolled in Rider’s Dance program and lecture-demonstrations for the community.
The company will also present a lecture-demonstration on Wednesday, September 19, at noon in the Bart Luedeke Center Theater. Admission is free, and the public is invited to attend.
Âé¶¹Íø and American Repertory Ballet’s school, the Princeton Ballet School, have a unique relationship that allows Âé¶¹Íø dance majors and minors to complete their studio course requirements at the Princeton Ballet School while earning an undergraduate degree in Fine and Performing Arts with a concentration in dance. Students also have the opportunity to double major, combining dance with Elementary Education, Theater, Communications or Business.
